Claes Forsberg is the new CEO for O-Ringen

Claes comes most recently from the Swedish Sports Forum, where he has held the position of CEO / Project Manager for the past 12 years. He also has a background in hockey when he was previously CEO of Djurgården hockey.

- We are incredibly happy about this recruitment. Claes has broad expertise in events and marketing, which will make a strong contribution to the positive development O-Ringen and orienteering are facing. He is a leader who shares our values and with experience of leading both professionally and non-profit. That has been an important starting point in our choice of future CEO. The fact that he also combines humility and business sense means that he is exactly the person we are looking for, says O-Ringen chairman Linda Take.

-I look forward with great joy and curiosity but also with great respect to working with O-Ringen. To be responsible together with professional colleagues for implementing and developing one of Sweden's largest sports events, it is actually an opportunity that you just can not say no to when it arises, says Claes.

At the beginning of May, Claes Forsberg will take up the position as CEO of the world's largest orienteering adventure.
