In 2026, the world's biggest orienteering competition will come to Gothenburg. O-Ringen city will be located at Stora Holm.

– O-Ringen is finally coming to Gothenburg in 2026! We hope that both participants and visitors will be able to combine wonderful competition days with the wide range of restaurants and experiences that Gothenburg also has to offer, says Magnus Hallberg, vice president and event manager at Göteborg & Co.

Gothenburg will be the host municipality in 2026 and that it will be an O-Ringen city at Stora Holm.

– At Stora Holm we get a unified O-Ringen city that offers rural idyll but with short distances to both competition areas and the pulse of the big city. In addition to being able to build a campsite that is undisturbed and scenic, the location also offers very good conditions in terms of infrastructure and logistics, says O-Ringen's logistics manager Conny Gunnarsson.

It will be the third time that the O-Ringen has been held in Gothenburg, the last time was in 2004, before that in 1990.
