Yesterday’s Stage 3 in Slottsskogen saw 14,250 participants! It is the first time since 2019 that an O-Ringen stage has exceeded 14,000 participants. Over 1,700 people picked up their bibs at the event arena—at times, the queues at O-Ringen were longer than those at Liseberg :)

Foot-O Stage 4 – Coop-etappen – Arena Länsmansgården – Middle distance

Stage 4 welcomes you to the Länsmansgården Arena, which will also host tomorrow’s final stage. The arena is situated at the edge of Svartemosse, a long, narrow forest area that once served as the border between Sweden and Norway. Some courses offer views of the archipelago! The stage opening ceremony is at 8:30 AM, and the arena opens at 7:00 AM (you can find specific opening hours for arena services in the event program).

In addition to a record number of participants, we also saw a very high number of on-the-day registrations. A big thank you for the great cooperation and cheerful attitudes shown by everyone who queued at Participant Services!

If you are arriving via the stage shuttle bus from O-Ringenstaden (15 min) or the satellite parking lot (12 min), there is a 750-meter walk from the drop-off point to the arena. Signposting to the satellite parking lot begins once you exit the highway at the Volvo interchange. Shuttle buses start running from O-Ringenstaden at 6:30 AM. If using public transport, you can take the tram to the Väderilsgatan stop; from there, it is an 800-meter walk to the arena. Bus 25 takes you all the way to the arena (Svarte Mosse stop). By bike, it is an 8.5 km ride from O-Ringenstaden along cycle paths, and bicycle parking is available at the arena. Signage (A4 signs) is in place from the "Green Entrance" at O-Ringenstaden all the way to the arena; please be careful and walk your bike across Björlandavägen.

A tip from the course setters: Taking a direct route while making smart micro-route choices is likely the fastest option for those who—in addition to being strong riders—have mastered orienteering techniques. There are often corridors offering good visibility and passability, especially in a north-south direction.

MTBO Stage 4 – Mölndal Arena – Extended Sprint

Stage 4 of the MTBO event is an extended sprint, held in the same area as the 2023 Swedish Sprint Championship, with the finish line set in the beautiful surroundings of Gunnebo House. Start times are between 10:00 and 12:30.

TrailO Stage 4 – Arena Nya Varvet

The fourth PreO stage also takes place at the Nya Varvet arena. The terrain features detailed rock formations, including both flat outcrops and steep cliffs. Start times are between 09:30 and 12:00.

Activities today

• Today’s stage features a retro theme—want to compete for the best outfit and win running vests from Silva? Come to the retro tent at the finish area between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM to have your photo taken with your friends. If you have a late start time, you are welcome to have your photo taken beforehand. The photos will be posted on O-Ringen’s Instagram, where voting will take place between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Winners will be notified via SMS, and the prize-giving ceremony will be held at the O-Ringen Radio station shortly after 5:00 PM.

• Meet the Junior World Championship medalists in the Livelox tent from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM! Ludvig Rosén and Liam Hogedal are visiting the Livelox tent at O-Ringen Square for an open post-race discussion about the day's stage. They will review the day's route choices and explain their decision-making out on the course. Welcome!

• Award ceremony at 6:00 PM; the band HISFOG will provide entertainment.

• Friday’s theme for the politicians at O-Ringen Square is “The knowledge society and future professions.”
