Travel to Stockholm

There are many ways to get to Stockholm.

Train

Stockholm Central Station is the main hub of Stockholm’s transport network. Trains arrive here from most parts of Sweden, as well as from Oslo and Copenhagen. The station is centrally located and directly connected to T-Centralen, Stockholm’s central metro station, and the Arlanda Express.

Some regional and long-distance rail services also stop at Stockholm South Station (Stockholm Södra), Stockholm Odenplan Station, Flemingsberg Station and Älvsjö Station.

Bus

Adjacent to Stockholm Central Station is Cityterminalen bus depot, which serves as a hub for regional and international bus services to Stockholm. The airport coaches also have a stop here.

Car

The European routes E4, E18, and E20 pass through Stockholm and makes it easy to travel by car.

Flights

Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARL) is located about 40 km north of Stockholm city. From the airport, the Arlanda Express, Flygbussarna, FlixBus, Vy Bus4You, and commuter trains run towards the city centre.

Other airports include Stockholm Bromma Airport, Stockholm Skavsta Airport and Västerås Airport. Flygbussarna operates services from all of these airports.

Boat

From Tallinn, Helsinki, Turku and Åland you can easily travel to Stockholm with Tallink Silja Line or Viking Line. The ferry routes arrive at Värtahamnen and Stadsgården, with the former located only about 2 km from O-Ringen City.

Visitors arriving by pleasure boat can choose between three centrally located guest ports: Kungliga Motorbåt Klubben, just a stone’s throw from O-Ringen City, Wasahamnen a further 1 km away and Västerbro Port on Kungsholmen. There are also plenty of guest harbours to choose from in the archipelago.
