Miniknat

For our youngest orienteers there is a string course at each of our arenas at Rosenfors, Gunnarsö and Döderhultsdalen. Our smallest competitors really enjoy the string course, where they can follow a marked route with controls and fun activities. All children get a race number and a map, and use an SI card at each control. On the string course, all children can run, walk and get round at their own speed. A parent or other adult is responsible for each child out on the course.

There is no timing or results list, but of course everyone gets a prize when they come to the finish. The string course will have a different theme on each stage of the Småland Coast O-Ringen:

  1. Music
  2. On the farm
  3. Under the sea
  4. Gardens
  5. Magic

Where to find us

We will be based next to each arena. To find us, look out for our Miniknat (“string course”) signs or see the arena map. We are open from 8.30am-2.30pm.

Registration and payment

You can register in advance via the booking portal at oringen.se. The string course costs SEK 65 per day. You can also register at Competitor Services, either at the arena or at O-Ringen Square. Anyone who is pre-registered has their own start lane to avoid queueing. You can of course register and pay using Swish or card at our tent, but bear in mind there may be a queue for this.

SI cards

Bring an SI card with you if you have one. It’s fine to use another competitor’s SI card to do the string course. We also have a small number of SI cards available to borrow.

All orienteering tots are welcome to join us at the string course – an exciting adventure every day!
