Opening ceremony & Prize giving ceremonies

Welcome to our opening cermony July 21st 3 pm!

O-Ringen will open with pomp and ceremony at Brädholmen, in central Oskarshamn. At 3 pm, our hosts will take their place on the stage to open this year’s competition.

According to tradition, the prizegivings for stage winners will be held on the stage at O-Ringen Square after each stage. Make sure you’re there by 6 pm (4 pm the last day) to see the stage winners receive their prizes, alongside different entertainment each day, from folk music to pop. These prizegivings will take about an hour, apart from after the final stage when it will take a bit longer, as we want to celebrate the achievements of even more people.

There will be flower ceremonies each day at our arenas at Rosenfors, Gunnarsö and Döderhultsdalen for the best three runners in DH21E.

To help the prizegivings run smoothly, we have divided prize winners into groups – the timetable will be avaliable at Competitor Services and oringen.se. Each group assembles at the tent by the stage (at O-Ringen Square) to be checked in. Prize winners will be offered drinks and snacks while they wait for their turn to go onstage.

On the activity day, Högtryckssprinten will take place at Brädholmen Arena and prizegivings will take place after the last finish in each class. Approximate times are 4.30 pm for junior classes 6.30 pm for senior classes.

After Stage 5, overall positions 1–3 in competition classes and the top 10 in DH21E will receive their prize on the stage in O-Ringen Square. Groups and times are shown opposite.

Other prize winners can collect their prizes from Competitor Services at O-Ringen Square on Saturday 27th July from 3 pm, and on Sunday 28th July at 9 am – 12 noon. The number of prize winners in each class will be displayed at Competitor Services and at oringen.se.

We would like to remind you that prizes can’t be sent out afterwards, so make sure you can come to the prizegivings!
